Dee Conaghan: Chair, Trustee Board
Dee was appointed as Chair of the Trustee Board in November 2017. Dee has had a long relationship with Citizens Advice both in voluntary and paid roles, in local offices and on national committees. She has delivered and managed; counselling , mediation and advocacy services for other charities and voluntary agencies. She has been a lay member of the Central London Employment Tribunal.
Alan Gorringe: Treasurer
Alan, BA (Hons) FCMA CGMA, is a qualified accountant. At the start of his career Alan spent several years in local government, insurance, banking and oil. He moved to the sales function next for five years selling large IT systems to insurance companies, Lloyds syndicates and international banks. Following this he established his own consultancy company providing accounting services, IT implementation and business advice which operated for twenty years, five of these years being spent in China and Hong Kong. For the last ten years Alan has been working as the owner/director of a group of companies focused on international markets for fibre optics, health and sports devices, and still visits the Far East regularly to meet with suppliers.
Stephen Grave: Chair, HR Committee
Stephen has more than 30 years senior executive experience as Managing Director within the Bayer AG Group of Companies, before joining Speakerbus Group PLC, a telecommunications company, as non-executive director in 2009, becoming its Chairman in 2013. Retired altogether from corporate management in 2017, Stephen has been involved with Citizens Advice Westminster since 2009.
Georgia Ackland: Member, Finance Committee
Georgia’s career includes over 11 years working in construction across mining, oil & gas, infrastructure and property sectors in Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. She has worked in various roles up to and including Associate Commercial Director. Georgia has Bachelor Degrees in Civil Engineering and International Business, and is a member of Engineers Australia.
Gwyneth Macaulay: Member, Finance Committee
Gwyneth is a Westminster borough resident, has had over 37 years’ experience working as a finance and transactional lawyer in City law firms. Until retirement recently she was a partner at law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) and head of their finance and banking team. She is an experienced corporate advisor having led numerous large scale transactions across a wide range of business sectors, both domestically and globally. Gwyneth has advised many boards and has strong corporate governance knowledge and risk management capability.
Janine Edgerton-Avin: Member, Service Delivery Committee
Janine has lived, worked and managed contracts in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa over the past 12 years. She worked with the United Nations’ World Food Programme in the Middle East and North Africa during the Arab Spring. In recent years she has been responsible for sizeable global tenders and scaling business practices at Google. Outside work, Janine advises several small companies. She has been living in London since completing an LLM in Commercial and Maritime Law in 2012. Janine joined Citizens Advice Westminster’s Trustee Board in 2019.
Jenny King: Member, HR Committee
Jenny is an experienced senior HR leader in delivering change in complex environments with over 25 years’ experience in leadership and management in the not for profit sector. Jenny currently works as an independent HR consultant developing solutions tailored to address people and organisational challenges facing the not for profit sector. Prior to this Jenny was Director of People and Organisation Development for CIPFA, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. She has contributed to numerous Boards and Remuneration Committees. She is a Fellow member of CIPD and a founding member of the Institute of Organisational Development. Jenny joined Citizens Advice Westminster’s Trustee Board in 2019.
Ksenia Zheltoukhova: Member, Fundraising and Campaigns Committee, and Campaigns Lead
Dr Ksenia Zheltoukhova is Director of Research Operations at Nesta, the innovation foundation. Ksenia is responsible for developing the strategic decision-making and project delivery capability of the Research, Analysis and Policy team. Previously, Ksenia was Head of Research and Thought Leadership at the CIPD, where she developed the organisation’s research strategy and governance, overseeing programmes on technology at work, corporate governance, and skills, as well as leading CIPD’s own strategic research. She also spent three years at the Work Foundation, carrying out research and evaluation projects in areas of health and well-being, leadership, and future of work and employment. Ksenia is our Campaigns Lead and joined our board in 2019.
Nina Fletcher: Chair, Service Delivery Committee
Nina was appointed to the Trustee Board in 2017. Nina has a background in research and analysis and experience in policy development, strategic planning and service delivery in the not-for-profit sector. She is currently a freelance consultant. Prior to that she held numerous roles at the Law Society of England and Wales and was a senior leader and part of the senior management team, contributing to its overall strategy development and performance monitoring and improvement.
Richard is Managing Consultant at XPS Pensions Group, the largest specialist pensions and investment business quoted on the London stock exchange. He has over 20 years experience in marketing financial services for several leading brands. Richard is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Public Relations. Richard chairs our Fundraising and Campaigns Committee.
Rodney Chau: Member, Fundraising and Campaigns Committee
Rodney has over four years of experience in financial services and has lived and worked in the US, Belgium, Hong Kong, and China. Rodney joined our organisation early 2019 and is a member of our Fundraising and Campaigns Committee.
Joseph Hill: Member
Joe joined the board early in 2020. He is a civil servant, having worked on policy and strategy in several government departments, most recently HM Treasury and the Home Office. Prior to joining Citizens Advice Westminster, he served on the board of Richmond Borough Mind for three years.
