Dee Conaghan: Chair, Trustee Board and Service Delivery Subcommittee
Dee was appointed as Chair of the Trustee Board in November 2017. Dee has had a long relationship with Citizens Advice for over 30 years; she has worked in a range of roles, paid and voluntary within the Citizens Advice service. She has also delivered and managed; counselling, mediation, and advocacy services for other charities and voluntary agencies. She is currently a lay member of the Central London Employment Tribunal. Dee was appointed to the Citizens Advice Membership and Standards Committee in June 2015 and is a member of the national Citizens Advice trustee development group.
Alan Gorringe: Treasurer
Alan, BA (Hons) FCMA CGMA FIC CMC, is a qualified accountant, Alan has spent seven years in local government, education, insurance, banking and oil. He moved to the sales function next for five years selling large IT systems to insurance companies, Lloyds syndicates and international banks. Following this he established his own consultancy company providing accounting services, IT implementation and business advice which operated for twenty years and during this time worked in China and Hong Kong. For the last eight years Alan has been working as the owner/director of a group of companies focussed on international markets for fibre optics, health and sports devices, using my knowledge of doing business in China.
Stephen Grave: Chair, HR Subcommittee
Stephen has more than 25 years senior executive experience as Managing Director within the Bayer AG Group of Companies. Stephen joined Speakerbus Group PLC, a telecommunications company, as non-executive director in 2009, becoming its Chairman in 2013.
Georgia Ackland: Member, Finance Subcommittee
Georgia’s career includes over 11 years working in construction across mining, oil & gas, infrastructure and property sectors in Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. She has worked in various roles up to and including Associate Commercial Director. Georgia has Bachelor Degrees in Civil Engineering and International Business, and is a member of Engineers Australia.
Gwyneth Macaulay: Member, Finance Subcommitee
Gwyneth is a Westminster borough resident, has had over 37 years’ experience working as a finance and transactional lawyer in City law firms. Until retirement recently she was a partner at law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) and head of their finance and banking team. She is an experienced corporate advisor having led numerous large scale transactions across a wide range of business sectors, both domestically and globally. Gwyneth has advised many boards and has strong corporate governance knowledge and risk management capability.
Clémence Hermann: Member, Fundraising Subcommittee
Clémence has a legal background with 10 years experience in policy making, at GB and EU levels. Her latest position at Ofgem, the energy regulator, was Head of consumer engagement, focusing on finding ways for the most disengaged consumers to switch energy suppliers and save money.
Joseph Haji-Hannas: Member, HR Subcommittee
Neil Reeder: Member
Neil is a researcher on public services, assessing ways that local authorities, social enterprises and others can tackle issues such as youth unemployment and homelessness. A Fellow of the Young Foundation and trustee at the Poetry Society, he has an extensive background in business planning and public policy, working in a range of organisations from London Transport to HM Treasury.
