He began his career in investment banking, transitioning into broader financial services before working for various government arms-length bodies including the British Business Bank and the Money and Pensions Service where he was the Chief Risk Officer and EDI Champion. He sits on the Board of a regional building society where he chairs the Risk Committee and is also Senior Independent Director, and a financial services company where he is the Consumer Duty Champion. More recently he has joined the Board of State Bank of India UK. Mark has a strong background in Risk, Governance and Finance as well as working with government partners.
