Next week is Financial Capability Week – join us to ‘Talk Money’

Citizens Advice Westminster’s financial advice team invites you to join them to ‘Talk Money’ during Financial Capability Week  from 13 -17 November 2017. You can join the discussion too at @TalkMoney!fincap1

Your local charity, Citizens Advice Westminster, is delighted to be taking part in this important ‘FinCap’ week which will celebrate, showcase and expand on our ongoing work to improve your financial capability and money management skills and improve your financial well-being.

The week is organised as part of the government’s Financial Capability Strategy, which aims to bring together relevant organisations to improve their collective understanding of the scale and type of money problems different people face so that we can develop effective support to help them.

Come along to the #TalkMoney event we are holding for Financial Capability Week. This will take place at the Beethoven Centre, Third Avenue, W10 4JL on 13th November 2017, 1.30pm – 4pm.

Citizens Advice Westminster’s CEO Shirley Springer said: “We know from our regular engagement with local residents across the borough that many people lack the financial resilience and skills to deal with unexpected financial shocks. FinCap Week provides an additional opportunity to highlight and publicise our work on money management.  We can meet more people and discuss the life events that have caused their money worries so that we can support them to avoid uncontrolled levels of debt and empower them to take control of their finances. One new area we have added is to promote the uptake of  the Married Couples Allowance.”  MarriageAllowanceVSMarriedCouplesAllowance
