Looking forward to the new “different”

As we approach the end of this year, there are sure to be many reflections on what we have lived through.

We have already had the chance in our annual report and at the AGM to look back over 2020. We have seen that we have served many clients and played a vital role when people needed us most. As we worked from home, we developed new ways of working with each other and with clients.

We discovered just how innovative we can be.

Next year, as we enter the aftermath of Covid-19 there will be extra challenges as even more people need our help. We need to continue to transform and expand our delivery channels, while not forgetting those that may still need to see us face to face. I hope that we can build on the increased access to our services and increase inclusivity for all.

I also hope that we can build on our advocacy work and continue to make changes that improve the lives of our clients.

All of this is only made possible by the hard work and energy of our great team at Citizens Advice Westminster.

Early next year we hope to welcome a new chief officer and work with them to promote our work in the community and with our partners.

There are exciting and challenging times ahead. – we are looking forward not to the ‘new normal’ but rather to the ‘new different’!

Wishing you and your colleagues, families and friends all the very best for the festive season and the new year to come.
