Celebrating our fantastic volunteers

Volunteering provides an opportunity to use your skills across a wide range of activities from community fundraising and policy and campaigns work to speaking to clients on our Adviceline and drop-in gateway services to assess their needs and ensure they get the best possible free, independent and expert advice.

Look at what our volunteers say about their experience at Citizens Advice Westminster:

R&C team“I have only done a couple of adviser appointments so far, but they have been amongst the most satisfying moments of my week as it has been immensely rewarding to try and make a difference in helping them with their problems.”

“It is rewarding to volunteer with WCAB and be part of an amazing team that strives to help the local community and truly has a positive impact on people’s lives.”

“I’ve enjoyed immensely being part of the team of Westminster Citizens Advice for the last five years. Apart from learning a lot every week, I’ve seen quite a few changes – technological and organisational – and the one thing that remains constant is the team’s overwhelming desire to help people at this time of historic turmoil. Personally, I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to listen to clients’ stories and then do something – however little – to get them nearer to a way out of their predicament. It is a privilege to be part of an organisation that is devoted to justice. Last but not least, I feel I have made friends there!”

“Volunteering at Citizens Advice Westminster it’s one of the most rewarding things I can do in my spare time. It feels great to be able to do something for someone else who really needs and appreciates your assistance!”

“Volunteering at Citizens Advice Westminster has been an immensely enjoyable and rewarding experience. Not only has it been a delight to work with a dedicated and lively team of volunteers, through Adviceline and face-to-face client meetings, I have been able to develop as an individual and hone interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.”
