Asylum Aid partners with Westminster Advice Services
Citizens Advice Westminster’s advice service for migrants living in Westminster for whom English is not their first language will now be delivered by Asylum Aid.
Previously part of the Consonant service with the Migrants Resource Centre, Asylum Aid has been a leader in the provision of high-level legal support for over 30 years, ensuring the protection of vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. This follows Asylum Aid’s recent merger with the Helen Bamber Foundation which gives survivors of trafficking and torture the strength to move on with their lives.
Asylum Aid will continue to operate as a separate organisation to allow the continuation of its necessary services; advising individuals in their community language on debt, money problems, employment, immigration, and housing, forming part of their welfare advice service in collaboration with Westminster Advice Services Partnership.
For service opening times please visit our website for “Advice in Community Languages”.
By joining forces, the Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid will secure a significant lifeline for vulnerable refugees and migrants at a critical time. Under the umbrella of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group, they will work together to continue to raise the standard of care for survivors and influence change to ensure that they receive the protection they deserve.
